WTC Memorial - The Sphere
The Sphere at Battery Park, NYC (near Bowling Green entrance).
This is a temporary memorial to the events of 9/11 at Battery Park, NYC.
This sculpture, called "The Sphere", by Fritz Koenig, stood at the World Trade Center as a symbol of world peace. It was relocated to Battery Park on March 11, 2002.
Standing in front of it you couldn't help but feel emotional. Miss the majestic World Trade Center.
